Essex Dance Theatre Brentwood

As we move through Spring and into Summer we start to practise for events and performances, as well as many of the girls preparing for dance examinations that they take in half term week.

We will displays some reports and pictures from some of these events as they occur.

PUBLIC PERFORMANCES

In the past years Brentwood Students have performed at a variety of events including:-

• Brentwood Theatre end of year Annual Shows

• Jack Petchey presentation Evening - Civic Theatre Chelmsford,

• Bentley Church Fete

• First Feat - Youth Arts Dance Event - Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch

• Strawberry Fair, Shenfield Common

• Evoke Nightclub Youth Dance

• Lancaster Hotel, London

EASTER COURSE

We also hold additional Easter Courses, where the students enjoy choreography workshops in various dance styles. The course have a really lovely atmosphere with EDT dancers from the age of 5 - 17 all interacting and benefitting from the experience. The progress made is obvious to all.

CHOREOGRAPHIC COMPETITIONS

We have also run our own choreographic competitions. Juniors are given a piece of music to use whereas seniors are encouraged to select their own track, performing their compositions in the end-of-year show at the Brentwood Theatre.
