The Company and Junior Performing Group had a fantastic afternoon performing their 20 minute 'set' twice!
September 2021 - July - 2022 was a full and productive year!
Timetabled Classes, Holiday Workshops, Jack Petchey Event Performances, School Fetes,
Strawberry Fair, ISTD Exam Sessions, Parent's Open Days and a fantastic End of Year Show week at the Theatre.

Christmas Performance
EDT Company and Junior Performing Group were invited once again to St Thomas' Church Christmas Youth Concert in December 2021
We had a fantastic evening and look forward to our return visit next year!
Before Covid restrictions were lifted we were delighted to be able to deliver a Sharing of our creative work in the Summer Term of 2021. Having only returned to the studios in April this was a huge achievement and thoroughly enjoyed by our performers and the small audiences - allowed at the time!
As we move through Spring and into the Summer Term many of the students prepare for I.S.T.D. Dance Examinations which are taken annually in May Half-Term Holiday week.
Our goal in the final half term is to have a fun and creative experience at the end of the year - as we rehearse for events and performances.
Reports and pictures will be shown from some of these events as they occur.
PUBLIC PERFORMANCES
In the past years Brentwood Students have performed at a variety of events including:-

- Jack Petchey presentation Evenings - Civic Theatre Chelmsford,, Queens Theatre Hornchurch & Towngate Theatre Basildon
- St Thomas Church, Brentwood, Youth Christmas Concert
- Bentley Church Summer Fete
- First Feat - Youth Arts Dance Event - Queen's Theatre, Hornchurch
- Strawberry Fair, Shenfield Common
- Evoke Nightclub Youth Dance
- Lancaster Hotel, London
HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS & EASTER COURSES
EDT Brentwood hold additional dance workshops in the school holidays.
Guest choreographers are invited to teach a variety of dance styles and to create pieces for performances later in the year.
These additional courses have a really lovely atmosphere with EDT dancers from across all age ranges benefitting.
New dance experiences mean that fun is had and progress is made - broadening the depth of our students dance training.
CHOREOGRAPHIC COMPETITIONS
EDT Brentwood recognise and encourage creativity by holding choreographic events. Juniors are sometimes guided by being given a piece of music to use, whereas Seniors are open to select their own track for their compositions. Some of the end results have been commendable and are performed in the end-of-year show at the Brentwood Theatre.
